Improving the quality and export potential of handicraft products, manufacturing them based on national and international standards and requirements, packaging, branding, and ensuring their competitiveness in the global market is an urgent topic of today. In this regard, systematic work has begun within the “Hunarmand” Association.
The Chairman of the association, R. Mirzaakhmedov, recently met with Muhayyo Aliyeva, the founder of the famous “Bibi Khanum” brand in Tashkent.
During the meeting, the head of the association discussed the process of patenting handicraft products—a legal protection process for national and traditional designs, technologies, decorations, and manufacturing styles. This process allows craftsmen to protect their inventions and unique products. Through this patenting process, craftsmen safeguard their products’ uniqueness and intellectual property, preventing illegal copying or counterfeiting. Additionally, patenting increases the competitiveness of handicraft products in the market, granting them exclusivity in international and local markets.
Following the meeting, R. Mirzaakhmedov, the Chairman of the “Hunarmand” Association, met with craftsmen at the Navruz Garden in Tashkent. During the meeting, he discussed the association’s ongoing efforts to brand handicraft and folk art products, create competitive products, and introduce them to the global market.
